Creating a Win-Win

Almost two years ago our team released ShopSavvy making barcode scanning on smartphones a reality. Along the way we considered selling our technology to developers, but ultimately we decided to release our barcode scanning library for free. Additionally we decided to include our unique ad framework, creating immediate revenue opportunities for developers who chose to license our scanning library. Instead of figuring out how to charge developers we decided to find a way to help them make even more money with our technology.

The Barcode Scanner SDK supports both 1D (UPC and EAN) and 2D (QR and Datamatrix) barcodes. Specifically designed to work on both fixed and variable focal length cameras, our Barcode Scanning library is one of the best in the business and best of all it is FREE!

Zero Cost License

While we provide our Barcode Scanning SDKs at no cost to developers, we do require that you execute our standard license agreement. The agreement sets out basic requirements including our requirement that licensees include our ad framework, which serves a single banner advertisement immediately after the user completes a scan.
